THE RINGING MASTER'S MERIT AWARD

First presented in 1989 the Merit Award was initially awarded to the band 'which performed most meritoriously' in the striking competition.  Over the years this has evolved and it is now awarded to the tower that the Ringing Master feels has achieved the most in the year.
